Founded over 50 years ago in Denver, Colorado, Gold, Inc. (“goldbug”) is a leader in the infant and children’s accessories market. A woman-owned enterprise, Goldbug produces and sells high-quality children’s accessories and products for families to use every day.

As a woman and a mother, Katherine Gold has always been inspired by women around the world who overcome obstacles to achieve economic success. As CEO, Katherine has built Goldbug into one of the largest baby and children’s accessory and product leaders in the market.   Her passion for the business is evidenced by the winning products she and her team create and the entrepreneurial passion she brings to the business.

A central value for Goldbug is giving back which is demonstrated by Katherine’s commitment to philanthropy, advocacy and international partnership both personally and on behalf of the company.  Katherine currently serves as the Treasurer on the Executive Committee of the American Apparel and Footwear Association (AAFA)--the national trade association representing apparel and footwear companies, and their suppliers, that compete in the global market.  In Colorado, she serves on the Board of the Museum of Contemporary Art Denver.  She is also on the Board of Directors of Delivering Good. Previously Katherine served as Board Chair of the Rose Community Foundation and is also a former Board Chair of the Colorado Children’s Campaign, an organization that advocates for the development and implementation of public policies that improve child well-being in health and education.

Most recently Katherine has made a commitment to engage in maternal health initiatives both locally and nationally. In particular, Goldbug is working to partner with local organizations to drive down rates of maternal mortality and improve maternal health outcomes in Colorado. These initiatives include hands-on support of local communities with the goal to expand those learnings to impact birth outcomes nationally.  Exercising corporate social responsibility is a model that Katherine has implemented with the goal of helping birth givers and children thrive. Utilizing Goldbug as a platform to create awareness and make a positive impact in public health and health equity is an important way that Goldbug supports the community and their customers.
